Who is eligible for paid sick leave during COVID-19?

Paid sick leave is paid time off from work that workers can use to stay home to address their health needs without losing pay.

Employees of covered employers are eligible for

  • 2 weeks or 80 hours of paid sick lease at your regular rate of pay when you are unable to work because you are quarantined or experiencing COVID-19 symptoms and seeking a medical diagnosis

  • 2 weeks or 80 hours of paid sick lease at two-thirds your regular pay if you have a real need to care for someone who needs to quarantine or care for a child who school, or childcare is unavailable because of COVID-19.

  • Up to an additional 10 weeks of paid expanded family and medical lease at two0thirds you pay if you have been employed for at least 30 days and are unable to work because of a real need to care for a child because school or child care is unavailable because of COVID-19.

Covered employers: FFCRA applies to public employers and private employers with fewer than 500 employees

How to File a Complaint with the US Department of Labor?

Please provide the following information to file a complaint against you employer:

      • Your name 

      • Your address and phone number

      • Name of the company where you work(ed)

      • Location of the company 

      • Phone number of the company

      • Manager’s or owner’s name 

      • Type of work you did

      • How and when you were paid (for example, by check every Friday)
