COVID and videos of police brutality have unearthed the inequities in our society for all to see. As African-Americans suffer, I ask myself: Why do Christians not participate in protests against police violence or for equity in health care and education? Why do they not see oppression as a spiritual issue?
As followers of Christ, and good Samaritans, it is time that Christians of all backgrounds, take action to stand for justice for all. Acts 10:34-35 states:” Then Peter began to speak: “I now realize how true it is that God does not show favoritism but accepts from every nation the one who fears him and does what is right.” NIV.
It is not righteous or holy for Christians to ignore the suffering of their neighbors. Due to this, we, the undersigned, urge all Christians to stand against racial injustice.
